Philosophy of the Media Center

The use of a single textbook within a given course is inadequate to meet instructional objectives; therefore, utilization of varied resources is essential.  Each teacher needs materials and equipment to support and broaden the learning situation.  It is, therefore, the philosophy of the media center of Lineville High School to work with the faculty and staff to support and further the curriculum in order to meet the needs of all students at all learning levels.  The media center helps to support the curriculum by providing the necessary learning resources and materials for use by students and faculty to meet the needs of the student in a student centered learning environment.  The media center does this by providing a wide variety of instructional materials in all core curriculum areas.  These materials are suited for all types of learners.
